About Maplewood Treatment Solutions · Merchantville, NJ

You Came Here to Heal.
We Are Here to Make Sure You Leave Ready.

Residential addiction treatment in Merchantville, NJ — where the work of real recovery begins and the life you deserve starts taking shape.

At Maplewood, we do not just treat addiction. We prepare people for what comes next. Whether that is stepping into outpatient care, returning home to their family, going back to work, or starting a life they never thought possible — we spend every day of treatment getting our patients ready for that moment.

Joint Commission Accredited  |  LegitScript Certified  |  NJ Licensed Treatment Center

We do not measure success by how long someone stays with us. We measure it by how prepared they are when they walk out our doors.

That is the philosophy at Maplewood Treatment Solutions. From the moment a patient arrives at our residential facility in Merchantville, NJ, we are not just treating what brought them here — we are actively building what comes next. Every therapy session, every clinical conversation, every plan we put in place is oriented toward one thing: the day they leave our care stronger, steadier, and ready for the life waiting for them.

Some leave to step into an outpatient program. Some return home to their families. Some go back to work. Some are reuniting with children they have not seen. Whatever the destination — we work through the behaviors, the patterns, and the underlying issues while they are in our care so they arrive there truly prepared.

Who We Are

A Residential Treatment Center Built for the People of South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia

Maplewood Treatment Solutions is a Joint Commission-accredited residential addiction treatment center located at 214 W Maple Ave in Merchantville, NJ. We serve individuals and families from throughout Camden County, including Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Haddonfield, Pennsauken, Marlton, and across the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area.

We were built around a belief that far too many people in our region were being forced to choose between quality care far from home or inadequate options close to it. We built Maplewood to eliminate that choice — to bring nationally accredited, evidence-based residential treatment to the community, so that people could heal without losing touch with the families and support systems they need most.

Today, Maplewood is recognized as one of South Jersey’s leading residential addiction treatment programs. We hold Joint Commission accreditation, Legit Script certification, and licensure from the New Jersey Department of Health. Our clinical team includes a medical director, licensed therapists, licensed counselors, and dedicated case managers who work together around a single patient population and a single mission.

Every person who comes through our doors brings a different story. We honor that story. And we work relentlessly to help write the next chapter.

Why Maplewood

Why Families and Individuals From Across South Jersey Choose Us

📍

Close Enough to Stay Connected

Your family is close. Your community is close. Healing does not have to mean disappearing. Our Merchantville location keeps patients near the people who matter most to them — close enough for family sessions, close enough for weekend visits when clinically appropriate, close enough that you are never truly alone in this.

📋

The Highest Level of Accreditation

Joint Commission accreditation is earned — not purchased. It requires rigorous independent evaluation of our clinical processes, safety practices, patient outcomes, and staff qualifications. We earned it because we hold ourselves to the highest standard in everything we do.

🧸

Individualized Treatment Plans

No two people arrive at addiction the same way. We do not offer one-size-fits-all programming. Every patient receives a clinically tailored treatment plan built around their specific substance use history, co-occurring conditions, personal goals, and discharge destination.

🧮

Integrated Dual-Diagnosis Care

The majority of our patients arrive with a co-occurring mental health condition alongside addiction — depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, bipolar disorder. We treat both simultaneously, because treating one without the other rarely leads anywhere lasting.

👨‍⚕️

Clinical Team That Actually Knows You

Our team is intentionally sized so that every patient has genuine relationships with their therapist, case manager, and medical staff. You will not see a new face every week. The same people who meet you on day one are with you through discharge.

🏠

A Safe, Structured, Comfortable Environment

Recovery requires stability. Our residential facility offers a safe, calm, structured environment — comfortable without being excessive, therapeutic without feeling clinical. It is a place designed to help people focus entirely on the work of getting better.

The Work

What We Do Together While You Are in Our Care

This is not passive treatment. The work is real, it is structured, and it is intentional. Here is what we work through with every patient we serve.

01

Understanding What Drives the Addiction

We do not ask patients to simply stop. We help them understand why. Through individual therapy and clinical assessment, we identify the underlying drivers of addiction — trauma, loss, anxiety, chronic pain, relational patterns — and begin building awareness around the specific triggers and behaviors that have kept them stuck.

02

Behavioral Change That Actually Sticks

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, we give patients practical tools to interrupt the patterns that have led to substance use. These are not concepts. They are skills — practiced, repeated, and reinforced throughout the duration of treatment.

03

Processing Trauma at the Root

For many of our patients, unresolved trauma sits at the center of everything. Our trauma-informed clinical team creates the conditions for that work to happen safely. Processing does not always mean resolution — but it means patients leave with a clearer understanding of their history and strategies for moving forward with it.

04

Rebuilding Family Connections

Addiction fractures relationships. Family therapy, education sessions, and structured communication support help patients and their loved ones begin to repair what has been damaged — and lay the groundwork for healthier dynamics in the home they are returning to.

05

Discharge Planning That Starts on Day One

Our case managers begin working on discharge from the day a patient arrives. Housing options, outpatient referrals, insurance continuation, primary care, employment resources — nothing is left to chance in the final 48 hours. Every patient leaves with a complete, personalized transition plan.

06

Building a Life Worth Staying Sober For

The most important work we do is help patients reconnect with purpose. What do they want their life to look like? What relationships matter to them? What do they want to accomplish? Treatment at Maplewood is as much about building toward something as it is about stepping away from something.

“Our goal is not simply to help people get sober. Our goal is to help them build a life they are genuinely excited to live.”

After Maplewood

Wherever You Are Going, We Are Preparing You to Arrive There Ready

Every patient who comes to Maplewood has a different destination waiting. We prepare for all of them — from day one.

🏠

Returning Home

For patients returning to independent living or their family home, we build a complete transition plan that includes relapse prevention strategies, community support connections, and scheduled follow-up care. Home is not the finish line — it is the starting point for everything that comes next.

🧬

Stepping Into Outpatient Care

Many of our patients transition into a Partial Care or Intensive Outpatient Program after discharge. We coordinate warm hand-offs to trusted outpatient providers across South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia so that the continuity of care never breaks. The treatment does not stop at our door.

💼

Returning to Work

Employment is a cornerstone of long-term recovery. Our case managers connect patients to vocational resources, assist with return-to-work planning, and help navigate any employment challenges that may arise during the transition. Going back to work is not just an economic act — it is part of building a life with structure and purpose.

👪

Reconnecting With Family

For patients whose most important work is repairing family relationships, we invest heavily in that during treatment. Family therapy, structured communication, and education sessions help build the foundation that makes reunification not just possible but sustainable.

Our Clinical Team

The People Behind Every Patient’s Recovery

Our clinical and medical staff are credentialed specialists in addiction medicine, behavioral health, and trauma-informed care. They are the people our patients trust with the most difficult chapters of their lives.
